The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (Bureau) seeks updated comment on the operation and effectiveness of the Commission’s rules relating to hearing aid compatibility of wireless handsets.
On January 12, 2012, the FCC adopted rules requiring captioned programs shown on TV to be captioned when re-shown on the Internet.
FCC rules require that, as of March 30, 2013, TV broadcasters must begin providing Closed Captions on programs that are streamed live (or "near-live") on the internet simultaneously as they air on television.
