The Rocky Stone Endowment Fund

How was the Rocky Stone Endowment Started?
The Rocky Stone Endowment Fund was started in 2004 in honor of Rocky Stone. Rocky’s family made the first donation to establish this fund.

What is an Endowment?
Endowments offer lasting financial resources for HLAA because of the income generated through careful investment management. The principal balance of each endowment is retained and invested.

What is the difference between the Rocky Stone Endowment Fund and the Annual Fund?
The money placed into the Rocky Stone Endowment Fund is never touched. The funds are carefully invested and the proceeds are used each year to support the programs and services of HLAA. When you make a gift you are ensuring the future of HLAA.

The Annual Fund is money given each year by individuals to fund the ongoing work of HLAA in proving advocacy and support for people with hearing loss. When you make a gift you are making it possible for HLAA to help people and be the nation’s voice for people with hearing loss.

Who can I contact about giving to HLAA?
Contact our Executive Director, Dr. Terry Portis at 301-657-2248 or email him at tportis@hearingloss.org.
