BETHESDA, MD: Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), the nation’s largest organization for people with hearing loss, presented national awards during its annual Convention this past June in Providence, Rhode Island.
At our June 2012 meeting in Providence, RI, the HLAA Board of Trustees adopted a Statement of Strategic Intent. The Statement has been almost two years in the making, and is the result of a collaborative process between HLAA management and staff together with members of the Board of Trustees. In a series of meetings, our discussions were guided by the Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, Jim DeCaro; Past President Peter Fackler; and our facilitator, Robb Adams of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, Rochester Institute of Technology.
